ABOUT WISE OWL
Wise Owl Play Therapy provides child-centred therapeutic support for children and families across Wirral and the surrounding areas, while working collaboratively with schools and referring professionals.
Ruth is a PTUK Registered, Certified Play Therapist with a Master’s degree. Her work is rooted in helping children feel safe, understood and able to communicate in ways that feel natural to them. She recognises that children may express experiences and emotions through play when words are difficult. Play is a natural form of communication for many children. In a developmentally appropriate therapeutic setting, it may provide a way to explore feelings, experiences and relationships. Every child is different, and play therapy is not automatically appropriate for every child. An initial consultation and assessment help to consider whether it may be a suitable next step, depending on individual needs.
